After all this triple-digit weather we’ve been having, you might be looking for a new iced beverage to help cool you down.

Cold-brew coffee and latte sales spike during the dog days of summer, but several restaurants offer a twist on this caffeinated crutch: espresso-fueled horchata.

Horchata is a milky, lightly sweetened drink most often made with almonds or rice, but you can also make it out of sesame seeds, barley or tigernut, a relative of the water chestnut that is also known as chufa. Last week, Instagrammer @toparisandback posted a photo of her favorite, El Equinox, from El Tacorrido, which has three taquerias around Austin (9320 N. Lamar Blvd., 5811 Berkman Drive, 2316 S. First St.)

But Tacorrido isn’t the only place where you can find this supercharged summer drink. The roaming food truck Guac N Roll makes its “co-chata” completely from scratch, and at El Chilito, 2219 Manor Road, they call it the Ojo Rojo. Brunch favorite Tamale House East also sells its own version at the restaurant at 1707 E. Sixth St.
