No spoilers here: North Door's free screenings of the new season of "Game of Thrones" is probably one of the best ways to watch all the blood and incest involving Westeros' finest play out. That's partly because of the entertainment venue's 25-foot HD screen but, let's face it, really because of the themed cocktails available there during the Sunday screenings.
There's about a month to go until the season four finale most likely leaves us with our mouths agape, and chances are you might need a drink during the remaining four episodes. Here are three boozy options.
(Note that if you come costumed in "Game of Thrones" gear, you'll get $2 — excuse me, two golden dragon — drink specials.)
Ruby Red Wedding: Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka, fresh strawberries, lime juice and sparkling wine. $8. For those moments when the slaughtering of half of the "Game of Thrones" characters means you need something strong, stat.
Tyrion's Arbor Gold Sangria: White wine sangria with peaches, grapefruit, strawberries, basil, St. Germain and sparkling rose. $7. For those scenes when Tyrion Lannister is defending his honor.
Targaryen Dragon's Blood: Espolon Reposado, pomegranate juice, agave syrup and ginger beer. $8. For every time one of the Targaryen clan makes it through a tough scrape. Or turns out to be a lunatic. Either one.
Really, you can enjoy those cocktails any time during the episodes that you want. There are also themed pizza specials.
The North Door, at 502 Brushy St., will start letting "Game of Thrones" fans in 6:30 p.m. on Sundays; the live screenings start promptly at 8 p.m. The next screening is this Sunday, whereas the remaining three take place the first three weekends in June.
