Wednesday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m. Pride Mountain Vineyards Wine Dinner at Cru in the Domain. Four-course meal paired with wines from California's Pride Mountain Vineyards. $75 per person. Reservations: 512-339-9463.

Wednesday October 2 through Sunday October 6. Oktoberfest at Banger's Sausage House & Beer Garden. Beer specials, games, contests and more. Full schedule to be posted on their website.

Thursday, October 3 at 6 p.m. Austin Beer Guide Release Party at Craft Pride.  Pick up this season's local beer guide, and sip on one of the special brews that will be tapping for the event. 

Sunday, October 6 from noon to 6 p.m. Hops & Grain Second Anniversary Party. The brewing team will be pouring over 15 beers for the party, some of which were created specifically for the event. Food, live music, and anniversary glassware for sale. There will also be a silent disco. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online

Monday, October 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wine Workshop at Central Market North Lamar: Tour of the Boot (Italy). Seth Pollard, Central Market Beer and Wine Manager will lead the class on Italian wines. Taste six wines for $10.  

Tuesday, October 8 at 5:30 p.m. Lucinda Hutson-Inspired Tequila Dinner at Jack Allen's Kitchen Oak Hill. A happy hour from 5:30 to 6:30 on the patio will celebrate the local author and her new book "Viva Tequila!" The book will be on sale for $38, and Hutson will be available for signing. Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. Reservations required for the dinner, happy hour is open to the public. Dinner costs $75. Reservations: 512-852-8558, or email at banquets@jackallenskitchen.com

Tuesday, October 8. Olive and June wine dinner. Francesco Mazzei of Castello di Fonterutoli, Tenuta Belguardo & Zisola of Sicily will be on site to answer questions about the wines, which will be paired with food. Five-courses for $85 (includes tax and gratuity). 

Thursday October 10 to Sunday October 13. Gruene Music & Wine Festival. Wine tastings, live music, silent auctions and more will take place over the four day festival.

Saturday, October 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. Cocktails 101 at El Monumento in Georgetown. Sample spirits, enjoy a lunch from El Monumento, and learn how to make a variety of classic cocktails from mixologist Jeremy Corn. $65. Email Jeremy@themonumentcafe.com to reserve a spot. 

Monday, October 14. Saint Arnold releases Pumpkinator Pumpkin Imperial Stout.  The annual season from Houston's craft brewery will be released in 22 oz. bombers around the state. 

Tuesday, October 15 at 7 p.m. Oktoberfest beer pairing dinner at The League. Infamous Brewing co-founders will be on site for the beer pairing dinner at the Lakeway restaurant. $65. Reservations: 512-263-3279.

Thursday, October 17 at 6 p.m. Oktoberfest celebration at Zax.The 9th annual feast features food Smokey Denmark Beer Brats, Oktoberfest beer, giveaways and more. 512-481-0100.  

Saturday and Sunday October 19 and 20. North by Northwest Oktoberfest. The brewpub will tap a special house Oktoberfest beer, and the party will be complete with live music, family activities and a dog costume contest. $2 entry donation will benefit the Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas, Therapy Pet Pals of Texas and Central Texas Dachshund Rescue. 

Saturday, October 19 from 2 to 8 p.m. Fermentation Fest at ABGB. An entire day of festivities includes a pig roast, cider pourings from Argus Cidery, food specials, beer and music. 

Saturday October 19 from 5 p.m. to midnight. Russian House One Year Anniversary Party. Celebrate the birthday of the Russian House with live music and more. Free. RSVP: rhanniversary.eventbrite.com

Saturday, October 19 at 1 p.m. Beer tasting at the Blanton Museum of Art. Edible Austin and the Blanton host a beer tasting in conjunction with the current art exhibit featuring renaissance prints from Augsburg. Live Oak Brewing and Hops & Grain will be on site to offer samples of their beers, which are based on old German recipes. Register: publicprograms@blantonmuseum.org. Cost: $10 museum members and $15 non-members. 

Friday, October 18 at 6:30 p.m. Independence Brewing Co. Anniversary Pairing at Central Market North Lamar. Amy and Rob Cartright will be on site to show off how their beers pair well with food. taste through five pairings for $50. 

Saturday, October 19 from 1 to 7 p.m. Flying Saucer Fifth Annual Beer Festival. Choose from 40 different breweries and 60 different beers selected by the Flying Saucer staff.  $30. 

Saturday, October 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. Mezcal festival at Takoba. Taste through 11 brands of mezcal, free snacks and live music. Free.

Sunday, October 20 from 2 to 6 p.m. Oktoberfest celebration at Real Ale Brewing Company. Food by Dai Due, beers from Real Ale, and music from the Walburg boys. $30 regular admission includes parking, 4 food tickets and 2 beer tickets. $50 VIP admission includes a guided tasting session and Q&A with the chefs and brewers. 

Tuesday, October 22. Cocktail pairing dinner at El Monumento. Four-course meal paired with cocktails. $65. Reservations: 512-591-7866.

Wednesday, October 23 from 5 to 10 p.m. Pepe Z Tequila Party at Jack Allen's Kitchen Oak Hill. South Texas seafood boil kicks off the festivities of the evening. $5 Pepe Z Tequila drinks, with Pepe Zevada in attendance. No RSVP needed. 

Friday, October 25 from 4 t o 7 p.m. Free Mestizo Mezcal tasting at Urban Wine + Liquor. Distiller Arturo Palencia will be on site to answer any questions about his Mezcal. Taste free samples. 

Saturday, October 26 from 1 to 10 p.m. Draught House 45th Anniversary Party. Celebrate the brewpub with a selection of special beers, food from local food trucks and music.  More details TBA. 

Saturday, October 26 from noon to 7 p.m. 23rd Annual Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest. The city of Fredericksburh hosts a celebration of Texas wines and food. Proceeds benefit the Market Square Improvement Project. $20 general admission includes a wine glass, six tasting tickets, live music and auction. 

Saturday, October 26 at 6 p.m. Smoke Out Saturday at Banger's. The theme for the evening is "The Hunter's Moon Party." Fall-inspired pig roast with root vegetables and other fall foods. 

Sunday, October 27  from 3 to 6 p.m. Wines of South Africa event at Vuka Coop. Taste wines from south africa, eat food from South African chef Hugo Uys. $20. Tickets: austinbraai.eventbrite.com

Sunday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. Hops & Grain Beer Dinner at Lucy's Fried Chicken. Five-course meal served family style, paired with Hops & Grain beers. $45. 

Monday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. Wine Workshop: Reds From Around the World at Central Market North. Taste through six wines selected by Central Market Beer and Wine Manager Seth Pollard. $10. 

Wednesday, October 30. Fall Wine Dinner at Gusto. Five-course meal of fall foods paired with wines of San Silvestro from Piedmonte, Italy. $60. $50 for members of the Wine & Food Foundation. Reservations: winefoodfoundation.org.
