SXSW announces Gaming Awards nominee list

"The Last of Us"

"The Last of Us" is a survival horror game for the PlayStation 3 that takes place years after a pandemic has destroyed much of civilization. It is among the nominees for the first SXSW Gaming Awards, which take place on March 8.

This week, South by Southwest Interactive announced the nominees for its first SXSW Gaming Awards, to be held 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 in Dell Hall at the Long Center. The event is free and open to the public, though early entrance and preferred seating will be given to badgeholders.

Justine Ezarik (better known as iJustine) and Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox of SMOSHwill emcee the awards.
