Tuesday's picks: Pat Benatar at ACL Live, Rose Styron at BookPeople

Pat Benatar at ACL Live
Taking a break from a national tour with Cher and Cyndi Lauper (that show is in Houston on Monday and Dallas on Wednesday), the queen of rock ‘n’ roll drops by ACL Live for a headline spot alongside guitarist, producer, songwriter and husband Neil Giraldo. Benatar and Giraldo churned out a string of hits in the early ’80s. With karaoke faves like “Love is a Battlefield,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “We Belong” included in their repertoire, this show is shaping up to be a sing-along, rock-your-heart-out midweek pick-me-up. 8 p.m. Tuesday. $29-59. 310 W Willie Nelson Boulevard. — Deborah Sengupta Stith

PAT BENATAR AT ACL LIVE: Thirty-five years is a long time for a band to stay together... The toll that working together, writing together, performing together, touring together can take on even the most level-headed of bandmates has been well-documented by many a VH1 special. That makes Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo's three and a half decades as a band -- and a couple -- even more of an anomaly. The rock duo brings its 35th-anniversary tour to ACL Live Tuesday evening, performing hits like "Love Is a Battlefield," "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" and "We Belong."

ROSE STYRON AT BOOKPEOPLE: In her latest book, “Selected Letters of William Styron” Rose Styron, widow of author William Styron, reveals the many letters her husband wrote to family, friends, colleagues, fans and more. Rose Styron is a poet, journalist and human rights activist. She has published three books of poetry and has been featured in various publications, such as the New York Times, Vogue and the Paris Review. — Cassie Smith

THE CLUE QUOTE-ALONG: This month, the Drafthouse is on the case — the case of who best knows the lines of the wacky murder suspects in the cult classic “Clue,” an adaptation of the board game, that is. The Drafthouse has subtitled fan-favorite quotes and will also provide props such as Clue cards (candlestick and revolver not included). You can sip on the Mrs. Peacocktail, a mixture of vodka, elderflower liqueur, lemon and basil, while the characters figure out who killed Mr. Boddy. Additional showings of the film play throughout the rest of the week. If you go, don’t forget: Communism is just a red herring. — Ari Auber
