By Peter Blackstock

More than two decades of live acoustic music with a cool coffeehouse vibe will come to an end on Monday when Barton Springs Road institution Flipnotics closes its doors with a farewell bash.

The Inheritance and Shorty Long are reuniting to play the venue one last time, with additional performances by Erik Hokkanen & the Hip Replacements, Aunt Ruby’s Sweet Jazz Babies, the Bluegrass Outfit, Bottom Dollar String Band, the If Onlys, Lisa Kettyle and Javelina. The show starts at  5 p.m. and is free.

Check out the YouTube clip above from Tuesday night of Hokkanen’s final show in his long-running Tuesday residency at the venue, with guest instrumentalists on violin, trumpet, flute and more.
