By Peter Blackstock

“Austin City Limits” Celebrates 40 Years at ACL Live. It’ll probably take a good find on Stubhub to get in, but this major taping for a 40th-anniversary special set to air in prime-time on PBS this fall features hosts Jeff Bridges and Sheryl Crow and will include performances by Bonnie Raitt, Kris Kristofferson, Gary Clark Jr., Jimmie Vaughan, Alabama Shakes, Joe Ely, Lloyd Maines, Grupo Fantasma, Robert Earl Keen and Doyle Bramhall II. Technically sold out. 8 p.m. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd.

Casual’s “Fear Itself” 20th anniversary tour at Holy Mountain. A founding member of the influential hip-hop collective Hieroglyphics, Bay Area rapper Casual is marking two decades since the release of his influential debut album with an eight-city tour that includes this Austin vist. Also on the bill are Quanstar & Coach K, Mr. Franklin of Crooked Lettaz, D’Labrie and P-Tek. $10. 8 p.m. 617 E. Seventh St.

Also: Philadelphia indie-rock band Mewithoutyou plays the outdoor stage at the Mohawk with the World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die and Dark Rooms. … KGSR’s free Unplugged at the Grove series continues at Shady Grove with an acoustic trio performance by country-rockers Reckless Kelly. … Riverboat Gamblers, Giant Dog, Bremen Riot and Blxpltn play the eighth night of Hole in the Wall’s 10-day 40th anniversary celebration.
