Monday music picks: Wine Down with Riders Against the Storm, Dale Watson

By Peter Blackstock and Deborah Sengupta Stith

The Wine Down with Riders Against the Storm at ACL Live. RAS’ 2014 hot streak continues with an appearance at ACL Live’s summer mix and mingle. When they’re not wrecking shop with headline sets around the city or prepping high profile festival appearances, Austin’s hip-hop power couple stays busy. Chaka has been curating cutting-edge talent at the monthly Tipping Point showcase at Empire and helping coordinate the inaugural Weird City Hip-Hop Festival. Qi Dada has been shaking up ideas about health and fitness with Team Big Legs and covertly killing the comedy open mic at the Skylark Lounge. Run RAS run. Free. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. — D.S.S.

Also: Local honky-tonk kingpin Dale Watson celebrates the release of his new “Truckin’ Sessions Trilogy” three-disc set with a free 5 p.m. in-store at Waterloo Records. … Indie rock band The Gallery, from Los Angeles by way of Massachusetts, brings the tour for their “Restless” album to Holy Mountain with openers The Vantage and Goodnight Ghost.
