Funky Austin group the Greyhounds doesn't play a lot of hometown gigs these days, but the band's heart is still in the city. The duo of guitarist Andrew Trube and keyboard player Andrew Farrell spend most of their time on the road these days, touring on their own gigs or supporting swamp rocker JJ Grey as part of his backing band Mofro.

Along the way they recorded the whimsical track "H-E-L-L-O," their only children's song to date. Incorporating the song into their live shows, it grew into a fan favorite. Now the band has released the track as a pay-what-you-wish download to benefit Anthropos Arts, a local organization that provides free music lessons to at-risk youths.

The band will play KGSR's Blues on the Green show at Zilker Park next Wednesday, opening for Grupo Fantasma.
