Some Friday festival news: The Austin Business Journal reports that the Circuit of the Americas has teamed with Transmission Events and ACL Live for this year's F1 Fan Fest, held dowtown during the U.S. Grand Prix.

In other words, keep your eye on the music lineup.

The Austin-based concert promoters will program the music and family events at the fest across four stages, according to ABJ. In addition to the 10 city blocks that Fan Fest occupies, ACL Live at the Moody Theater will also host musical acts.

Transmission, which promotes the growing and thriving Fun Fun Fun Fest and is a prominent presence in the live music booking scene, should be able beef up the fest's talent roster (which has been somewhat lackluster in the past, the ABJ points out). Last year's big acts included singer-songwriter Andy Grammer, "Take My Breath Away" throwbacks Berlin and Foreigner vet Lou Gramm. As a contrast, this year's Fun Fun Fun Fest headliners include rappers Wiz Khalifa and Nas; rock legends Judas Priest; and alt-gods like Neutral Milk Hotel and Dinosaur Jr.

According to the ABJ, terms of the deal between Transmission, COTA and ACL Live have not been disclosed, and Fan Fest event details will be announced sometime next month. This year's U.S. Grand Prix will be held Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
