Housecore Horror Film Festival returns

By Joe Gross

Yet again the same weekend as the Texas Book Festival, Pantera frontman Philip Anselmo’s Housecore Horror Film Festival returns to Austin Oct. 23 to 26 at Emo’s and venues to be named later.

The big “get” this year is that all of the living members of the main cast of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” will see the film together to celebrate the 40th anniversary. They include Gunnar Hansen (“Leatherface”), Marilyn Burns (“Sally Hardesty”), Edwin Neal (“The Hitchhiker”), Allen Danzinger (“Jerry”), William Vail (“Kirk”), Teri McMinn (“Pam”), John Dugan (“Grandpa”) and Edward Guinn (“Cattle Truck Driver”).

The cast will be at the festival all weekend and participate on panels about the film, a Q&A after the screening of the film, as well the usual autographs and photos ops.

More events are forthcoming. Tickets are currently $199 for limited quantity of three-day all-access badges. Prices will increase as more details are released. Go to www.housecorehorrorfilmfestival.com for more information.
