“Elemental,” a new environmental documentary, will have a special screening and discussion at 7 p.m. Monday at the Stateside, 719 Congress Ave.
The documentary is co-directed and produced by Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee and Gayatri Roshan, and Vaughan-Lee will participate in the panel discussion after the screening.
The documentary profiles three eco-warriors: Jay Harman, Rajendra Singh and Eriel Deranger.
Harman’s segments deals with his search for investors in a plan to create a device that he thinks can slow global warming. Singh goes on a 40-day pilgrimage down India’s Ganges River and tries to rouse the public to respect its natural resources. Deranger, meanwhile, mounts a struggle against the Keystone XL Pipeline.
