Single tickets to Ballet Austin's 2014-2015 have just gone on sale today.
The upcoming Ballet Austin season begins Sept. 26-28 with Stavinsky's "The Firebird" featuring choreography by artistic director Stephen Mills. On the same program is Balanchine's masterwork "Agon," also set to the music of Stravinsky who wrote a score of almost mathematical neatness for Balanchine's equally structured and distilled ballet for 12 dancers.
Another highlight of the season is "Belle Redux: A Tale of Beauty & The Beast," Mills' re-imagining in dance of Cocteau's surreal 1946 film "Beauty & The Beast" with a new score by Graham Reynolds. "Belle Redux" premieres Feb. 13-15, 2015.
