Spielberg's "Lincoln" Leads BAFTAs

Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" is ahead of the pack in Britain's top film honours, picking up ten BAFTA nominations. This adds to its tally for the Golden Globes, and sets it on course for possible Oscar glory next month. But Spielberg himself did not revcieve a best director nod for the civil war set drama about President Abraham Lincoln's battle to end slavery. "Les Miserables" - based on the hit stage musical - scored nine BAFTA nominations. As did Ang Lee's shipwreck saga "Life of Pi"
