One of the top summer destinations in Texas is about to get a whole lot better, thanks to a massive expansion.
According to the Houston Chronicle, the Cinnamon Shores vacation community in Port Aransas will receive a 300-acre, $1.3 billion expansion that will quadruple the size of the neighborhood.
The expansion will reportedly include a 3,300-foot-wide private beach, multiple swimming pools, a mile-long boardwalk, lakes, a spa and a “honeymoon cottage” with the intent to build a boutique hotel by 2018.
