Love seeing the sights with your sibs?

Send us photos of your travels with brothers, sisters

Whether it’s a trip taken as kids that you’ll always remember or a recent excursion to a faraway destination, sometimes the most fun person to travel with is a brother or sister who just gets you — quirks and all.

Do you have a favorite photo taken with a sibling during a trip? We want to see it.

Please email a high-resolution photo — as well as a description of where and when the picture was taken, the names of the people in the photo and name of the person who took it — to kfinan@statesman.com by Sept. 15. Some of the photos will run in an upcoming Travel section; even more will run in a photo gallery online.

Held in conjunction with the resort’s own anniversary — it opened Sept. 5, 1987 — this deal lets golfing enthusiasts who book an overnight stay play a free round of golf within seven days of their actual birthday.

Golfers may choose from several of the Omni’s championship golf courses, including Fazio Foothills, Fazio Canyons, Crenshaw Cliffside and Palmer Lakeside. The promotion is available now through September 2016. Call in advance to book a stay and tee time; valid ID is required at arrival to the golf shop.

Sip and see in Galveston

Is there anything more decadent than a lovely afternoon tea? In honor of the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Tremont House, a popular Galveston hotel, the Tremont Tea Society is hosting afternoon tea events on Sept. 13 and Dec. 13.

Guests may book an overnight Tremont Tea Society package, which starts at $196 and includes the afternoon tea for two, accommodations for two the night of either Sept. 13 or Dec. 13 and valet parking. Or you can just go for the afternoon tea, which is $40 per person. The afternoon tea includes tea sandwiches, petit fours, salads, scones, pastries, various teas and champagne in the hotel’s atrium.

WEDDING PACKAGE

“I do” to this deal in Aspen

Colorado is always a popular destination for Texans, and if you’re planning to get married there this winter, here’s something that may be of interest. Starting this winter, the St. Regis Aspen Resort will partner with Anchor Distilling Co. to create custom bar carts for bridal parties. The bride and bridesmaids and groom and groomsmen will receive a custom bar car in their respective suites for three hours before or after the ceremony. Bar carts come stocked for up to eight people and also include an Anchor Distilling mixology book with recipes.

The hotel is also offering a special Mother-of-the-Bride Butler, a St. Regis trained butler with a sole mission of keeping the mother of the bride happy and relaxed on wedding day.

The bar carts and Mother-of-the-Bride Butler are available for couples who spend at least $25,000 on food and beverage and can also be purchased as an add-on to smaller weddings for $500. For more information, call 970-920-3300 or visit stregisaspen.com.
