He's good enough, he's smart enough, and, gosh darn it, he'll be at SXSW Interactive

The erstwhile Stuart Smalley and current talk show host on the liberal Air America Radio will be talking about politics, the future of Internet radio and "life in the Lone Star State," the SXSW site said.
Franken was one of the original "SNL" writers and performers, although of late he has been most noted for his bestselling books ("Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right") and his talk show, considered the anchor for the fledgling Air America network. According to its Web site, Air America now has 48 affiliates.
Earlier this year, Franken bowed out of a 2006 Senate run in his home state of Minnesota — citing commitments to Air America — although he's keeping his options open for 2008.
Other noted speakers at the 2005 Interactive Festival include blogger Ana Marie Cox ("Wonkette"), "Blink" author Malcolm Gladwell, "WorldChanging" editor Alex Steffen and "Wired" columnist Bruce Sterling.
The festival runs March 11-15.
