Transportation services
Capital Metro offers several types of services to meet your transportation needs. They are:
Metro Routes
Local full size and mini-bus service to downtown Austin, the UT campus, crosstown and feeder routes. The adult one-way fare for this service is 50 cents.

Flyer Routes
Local service within various neighborhoods combined with express service to downtown Austin. The adult one-way fare for this service is 50 cents.

Dillo Routes
Historic reproductions of trolley cars provide circulator service to Downtown Austin, the Capitol Complex, University of Texas campus and the Convention Center from the free Park & Ride lot a Bouldin and Barton Springs. 'Dillo service is free.

Express Park & Ride Routes
Express service from free Park & Ride lots to downtown Austin. One-way cash fare for adults is $1.00.

Ridefinders
Vanpool service for ten or more commuters traveling to and from nearby locations. Volunteer drivers are allowed unlimited personal use of the van. $10 monthly fare for vans operating exclusively within the service area.

Public Event Shuttles
Shuttle service from convenient park & Ride locations to major festivals and events. Fares vary.

Special Transit Service (STS)
Transportation for qualified individuals with mobility impairments and unable to ride other services. Advance reservation required. One-way cash fares are 60 cents.

EasyRider
Group transportation for 20 or more indviduals age 65 or older during selected hours. Reservations required. Senior adults ride free.

Carts
Rural transportation service which provides feeder connections with Express/Park & Ride buses,as well as advance-reservation and demand-responsive service. One-way adult fares range from 50 cents to $1.00 depending on route.
Guaranteed Ride Home - Emergency taxi service for Express/Park & Ride, Flyer and service-area vanpool participants. There is a $5 annual fee for this service.

Services for riders with mobility impairments
Capital Metro offers fixed route bus and minibus service throughout the service area for riders with mobility impairments. In addition, Special Transit Service (STS) is available to individuals who, because of a disability, are unable to ride a fixed-route bus or van. STS operates on an advanced-reservation basis for qualified passengers. Passengers in wheelchairs will find lift service on all buses and minibuses marked with the international access symbol. Seating in the front of the bus is reserved for the elderly, riders in wheelchairs or other passengers with mobility impairments. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), operators of all fixed route services will be announcing stops as follows: major stops along the route transfer points connecting routes which serve transfer points other major intersections and destination points any stop as requested by an individual with a disability This service assists all passengers with disabilities to be oriented to their locations as they ride Capital Metro services. To take advantage of this service, please sit in the area reserved for persons with mobility impairments and senior citizens so you can hear the announcements. Capital Metro offers route schedules in large print or on tape. Information offices are equipped with TDD devices which enables persons with hearing impairments to communicate with Capital Metro.

Detours
Parades, public events and road construction often require buses to detour off their normally published routes. Whenever possible, passengers will be advised of detours through the distribution of passenger notices onboard buses. Information may also be obtained by calling 474-1200.
