A transfer is free, but non-transferable to another person. Request a transfer upon paying a fare. Transfers may not be issued by the Operator after a customer has taken a seat. A transfer is valid on all routes (in any direction) including the route or route pair from which it was issued for ninety minutes after reaching the end of the issuing route. A transfer is valid for up to two route changes. There is one coupon that must be removed along the perforated line at the top of the transfer by the Operator for the first route change. The balance of the transfer must be surrendered by the passenger for the second route change. When transferring from regular or flyer service to express or park & ride service an additional fare of 50 cents must be paid along with the transfer.
If the transfer is rejected by the Operator, the holder is requested to pay a cash fare and later present the transfer, and the facts relating to the case to the Capital Metro Operations office at 2910 East Fifth Street, Austin, Texas 78702.
