Headline says it all. Kim Phung at Lakeline Mall closed permanently on Monday. The North Lamar location, which recently reopened following a fire, remains open.

Toastie’s Sub Shop opened its second location today at 3419 S. Lamar Blvd. in the 704 Apartments complex.

Now open: Fork and Taco on Burnet Road

Fork and Taco is now open at 4801 Burnet Rd. next to Noble Sandwich Co. The restaurant, helmed by Uchi veteran Casey Fannin, serves non-traditional tacos like beer-braised brisket and a Thai grouper with cucumber watermelon salsa.

Popular downtown coffee truck, Patika Coffee, will open later this month at 2159 S. Lamar Blvd. in an old building previously inhabited by Liberty Tax Services.

JuiceLand opening Monday at Brodie Lane and Slaughter Lane

JuiceLand opens Monday at Shady Hollow Village Shopping Center (9901 Brodie Ln. at Slaughter Lane). The 11th location of the juice bar owned by Matt Shook will serve the same organic juices, smoothies, and grab-and-go raw foods found at its other locations, and will also offer drive-thru service.
