A scene from “Stranger Things,” the hit Netflix horror series.

“Stranger Things,” a little-known Netflix TV show, made its second season debut early this morning. Maybe you’ve heard of it. In case you haven’t, well, Netflix is doing its darndest to spend those ad dollars as frequently as Will Byers has flashes of the Upside Down.

In addition to the bus ads, Super Bowl spots and “Thriller”-featuring trailers, the folks at Netflix have curated Spotify playlists for each of the show’s main characters.

Users can see which character they’re most like based off of their Spotify listening hsitory by clicking this link. Each playlist revolves around a certain character trait. There’s Dustin’s “curiosity door,” Steve’s luxurious locks, Joyce’s spooky tunes, Chief Hopper’s coffee and contemplation get the idea. (Sadly, it doesn’t look like Austin’s S U R V I V E is on any of the playlists. But Spotify is also streaming the group’s soundtracks for both seasons, so it evens out.)

The Demogorgon even gets a playlist all of its own, with some heavy metal tunes. New characters Mad Max and Billy also get their own playlists.

For what it’s worth, my listening history matched me with “Mad Max’s Sk8 Sessions,” which features “early-80s punk meets classic California surf rock for our favorite skate princess.” Lots of The Offspring, Mac Demarco, The Byrds and Sonic Youth. I haven’t seen any of the new season yet, but I like this character already.
