Want one more dose of music festival for the year? Austin Fan Fest happens in a little less than two weeks in conjunction with Austin’s first Formula One race. Headliners include Aerosmith and Cheap Trick (Nov. 16 at the Erwin Center); Juanes (Nov. 16 at ACL Live); Lupe Fiasco (Nov. 17 at ACL Live); and Ghostland Observatory (Nov. 18 at the Bob Bullock Museum). Those acts join a large lineup of free acts, including the Bright Light Social Hour, Quiet Company, T-Bird and the Breaks, and Donavan Frankenreiter, who will be performing at various stages downtown.
If you don’t want to brave the crowds that weekend, plenty of other shows are going on elsewhere during the month.
ACL Live celebrates the holiday season with two shows: the Braun family Thanksgiving with Reckless Kelly with Muzzie Braun and Micky and the Motorcars (Nov. 23); and a Holiday Eve with Bob Schneider and the Moonlight Orchestra featuring the Tosca String Quartet (Nov. 24).
