8 oz. dried spaghetti, uncooked
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 cup onion, chopped
2 tsp. garlic, minced
1 tsp oregano, dried
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 lb. ground turkey
1 2/3 cup marinara sauce, prepared or homemade
1/3 cup green olives sliced, with pimento
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, divided
Cook pasta according to package directions in a large pot of boiling water.
While pasta is cooking heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add onion to pan; sauté 4 minutes or until tender. Add garlic; sauté 1 minute. Stir in oregano, garlic powder, red pepper and black pepper. Add ground turkey and cook for 5 to 8 minutes or until turkey is browned.
Stir in marinara sauce, olives, cooking wine and 3 Tbsp. parsley; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes
Add spaghetti to sauce mixture. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Garnish with remaining parsley. Serves 2.
