Moontower badges on sale

The talent lineup won’t be announced until mid-January, but early bird badges for the second annual citywide Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival happening April 24-27 are now on sale.

“The excitement and extraordinary response to the inaugural Moontower Festival was simply beyond our grandest expectations,” said Jim Ritts, Executive Director of the Paramount Theatre. “We believe that the 2013 festival will be an even better experience for everyone.”

New this year is the Ace badge, which includes a 4-day pass and premium seats to four headliner shows. The early bird price is $249.

Other early bird badge prices are: VIP, $499; and Fan, $99. All badges include parking, access to parties and happy hours, admission to the Blue Carpet Film Festival and merchandise discounts. The difference in pricing is due to varying access to shows and performer meet-and-greets, as well as preferred seating levels.

New role for man known as Kramer

NEW YORK — TV Land says it has cast “Seinfeld” star Michael Richards in a pilot for a prospective new sitcom.

The series, “Giant Baby,” also would feature fellow “Cheers” alums Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman.

TV Land said Tuesday the pilot will be taped next week.

“Giant Baby” focuses on Broadway star Maddie Banks, played by Alley. Richards plays her limo driver while Perlman plays her assistant.

Hefner to wed ‘runaway bride’

LOS ANGELES — Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris are again taking steps toward the altar, more than a year after the centerfold canceled their previous engagement and was branded a “runaway bride” in Playboy.

The couple obtained a marriage license Tuesday at a courthouse in Beverly Hills.

Harris called off the couple’s previous engagement in June 2011, prompting Playboy to affix “runaway bride” stickers to an issue introducing her as Mrs. Hefner.

Celebrity website TMZ first reported the couple’s license. It says they reunited earlier this year and plan to wed on New Year’s Eve.
