Two Austin radio stations are planning concerts aplenty to celebrate this week's Austin City Limits Music Festival.
For a second year, KUT 90.5 FM will serve up live music Friday on the back lawn at the Four Seasons Hotel, 98 San Jacinto Blvd.
The lineup, hosted by Kevin Connor:
9 a.m.: Ha Ha Tonka
10 a.m.: Charles Bradley
11 a.m.: Hayes Carll
Noon: North Mississippi All Stars
A $10 donation to the Robin Shivers Cancer Center gets music lovers access to the performances, as well as a breakfast taco and coffee.
"It was such a blast last year; we knew right away we wanted to do it again," said David Brown, executive producer of KUT's Texas Music Matters. "But the real reason we want to do it is that this event allows us to match up our love of live music and our larger commitment to public service."
A big backer of Austin's live music scene, the late Robin Shivers' contributions to the community included launching the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians. That, Brown said, makes it easy to attract performers.
"Artists want to help give back to Austin," he said, "including those who don't call Austin home."
And returning to Threadgill's this year will be KGSR 93.3/102.7 FM, which will broadcast live performances there as well as from backstage during the festival.
Stop by Threadgill's, 301 W. Riverside Drive, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon to hear an assortment of bands. Admission is $5.
And from 2 to 6 p.m. all three days, tune in to hear interviews and performances from acts playing ACL.

Entercom buying FM frequency
Entercom is purchasing 96.3 FM, a low-power station covering parts of Central Texas.
The broadcaster has been using that frequency to simulcast Talk Radio 1370 AM since earlier this year.
"Eighty-six percent of all radio listening in Austin occurs on the FM dial," said Alan Kirshbom, vice president and market manager for Entercom. "Entercom is investing heavily in 96.3 to make KJCE bigger, better and more successful."
Kirshbom declined to reveal the seller and purchase price.
Entercom's other Austin stations are Mix 94.7 and Majic 95.5.
2 stations up for CMAs
Country cousins KASE 100.7 FM and KVET 98.1 FM have been nominated for the Country Music Association's radio station of the year award.
Both stations are owned by San Antonio-based Clear Channel.
Other stations nominated in the large-market category are:
WFMS-FM, Indianapolis, Ind.
WQDR-FM, Raleigh/Durham, N.C.
WUBE-FM, Cincinnati, Ohio
Winners of the competition will be announced in mid-October and will be recognized during the CMA Awards, which air Nov. 9 on ABC.
Around the dial …
Morning co-host Jamie Ivey has departed KVET 98.1 FM. Ivey, who joined the station's lineup after winning a contest earlier this year, says she wants to spend more time with her children.
Nicki Minaj still No. 1 on Austin radio
"Super Bass" is the most-played song on Austin radio stations for a second straight week, according to AllAccess.com.
Minaj had a combined 224 spins Aug. 31 through Sept. 6 on Beat 102.3 and 96.7 KISS-FM, down one from 225 the previous week.
