Film industry tax incentives
Texas
5 percent cash rebate for eligible in-state spending, including wages paid to Texas residents
Maximum reimbursement from the state is $2 million for
feature films, which means that films with budgets of $40
million or more will receive less than 5 percent in tax breaks (the average major Hollywood film costs $70 million)
Louisiana
25 percent cash rebate for all in-state spending and 10 percent credit on labor for Louisiana residents
No maximum reimbursement
