Any dog owner can attest that having a high-energy pup can get a little exhausting. The endless walking, running and throwing can be taxing on a dog parent, and chances are you’ve probably asked your dog, “Why can’t you just figure out how to entertain yourself?” Enter this Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
In a Facebook video shared by Good Morning America, the dog has figured out how to play fetch with herself in Barton Springs Spillway (better known as “Barking Springs,” the section of Barton Creek right next to Barton Springs Pool, where entry is free and dogs are allowed).

In the video, the dog uses the rushing water to send her toy into the spillway, then she jumps in the water and swims out to get it, then swims back to the bank and does it all over again.
Despite comments on the post claiming the dog could drown, a woman claiming to be the owner of the dog commented, “That’s my nugget! She taught herself and the water is only 2 feet deep and she can stand, so very safe.”
Get to training, folks.
