The matchmaking giant recently launched a new feature on its app named “Missed Connections.” The feature aims to connect users with others they pass by in everyday life, such as at work, or going out. A string of new commercials shows off the feature in downtown Austin.
A few ads were shot in the area around the Paramount Theater on Congress Avenue between Seventh and Eighth Streets.
Royal Blue Grocery’s Second Street location makes a cameo in a quick spot which cleverly plays on meeting people organically.
The Austin skyline can be seen in another ad filmed at the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge.
The app’s feature will notify users of potential matches who cross paths often, even showing how many times they’ve been nearby each other. In 2016, Austin was ranked one of the best cities for singles. So if you’re looking for “the one,” it might not hurt to stroll around town and see who is doing the same.View full experience
