Austinites won’t have to look any further than the city limits for a romantic travel destination, according to TripAdvisor.

The travel website named Texas’ capital city one of “America’s 15 Most Romantic Cities for Winter Travel.” The list, published Dec. 4, highlights attractions like Lady Bird Lake, bike rentals and the city’s numerous music venues.

One spot in particular stands out for its reputation for romance. Mount Bonnell, the highest peak in Austin, is a famous spot for engagements. There’s even an urban legend that a couple visiting the site will fall in love on the first visit, propose marriage on the second, and tie the knot on their third visit. TripAdvisor suggests a more casual option of making a picnic atop the hill, which sees gorgeous sunsets against green hills and Lake Austin.

If those spots aren’t enough, Austin plays hosts to lovely light displays during the holidays like the Trail of Lights at Zilker Park or the outdoor patio at Mozart’s Coffee Roasters. Lights also adorn trees along Second Street downtown and the large Christmas tree in front of the Texas Capitol highlights Congress Avenue, making the city a perfect spot for a stroll with a significant other.

Joining the list is Austin’s neighbor to the south. So if a quick romantic getaway is more attractive, San Antonio’s Spanish missions and River Walk might do the trick.
