Restaurant Profile

There is a graceful feel to the Korean grill and sushi bar, with an artful presentation of food. The sushi provided a positive first impression. The entrees were strikingly different: a Continental-style salmon bulgogi (topped with Asian pear-honey) and the clay-pot duegi dooboo jigae (pork and tofu in a spicy broth for adventuresome diners with an affinity for heat). Good food, gracious service and pleasing ambiance mark Koreana as an engaging place to dine. ** -- Dale Rice, AA-S

Great Beef Bulgogi

Posted by DebCampbell on 03/30/09

Note to diners - Koreana had a big fire today (March 30, 2009) so check to be sure it's open before making a trip. I have been going to Koreana for years, and we have always received great service - the staff know us & greet us in a friendly manner. The beef bulgogi is the best I have had in town. Philly rolls are great. I highly recommend this restaurant, and hope it is open again soon!!

Service

Service was very poor. Ambience was nice. Food was decent. But service really ruined the experience. I would not have left a tip but my friend did out of politeness. Best to let the waitress know how her service was based on her tip. Wish she was more attentive. Waited quite awhile. Only had water glass filled once. Did not help pack the "to-go" items. She cleared the table really quickly which seemed like she wanted us to leave quickly but we had to wait 30 min after finishing our meals and the restaurant really wasn't that busy.

Superb food

Posted by Soo on 07/10/08

The tofu spicy soup is so tasty, is my favorite dishes. It is spicy and full with tofu n mixed seafood aroma. Then follow by the bulgogi (pork). The meat is so tender and juicy for every bite i take. While, not to forget the sushi too. It is delicious. i love the wasabi very much. i had been eating few other restaurant, but to me Koreana has served the best wasabi taste. The atmosphere is relaxing; each table is lighted up with a candle. u can also enjoy your meal at the bar counter too. The waiters are efficient, but the service will be better if is with a smiley face.
