Gr8 BBQ where is baked beans??!!!

Posted by Tango2 on 05/25/08

I have been passing this place for 4 years before deciding to have breakfast there. While not too thrilled on cinimmon pancakes, the rest was awesome! Wonderfull biscuits, and the sausage, man...so good! so, 3 days later, May 23, I decided I would try their BBQ to go. I got the three meat platter with three sides. I asked for baked beans and was informed they were out for the day....gone. I heard a remark they got 40 gakllons of charro beans, but only 2 servings left of baked beans. Their all you can eat menu starts at 5, I was there around 6:45pm. They gave me what was left of the baked beans, so I decided to add the Charro beans instead of cancelling my whole order, since they had all the meat cut. The Brisket, Awesome!! Suasage Awesome!!. Mac and cheese was great! The only downer was the Charro beans. While I am sure it was okay, for my family taste, not so good. They tasted bitter. If only the baked beans where fully available, it would have been the perfect meal. If I decide to go back there, I will definitely call ahead and ask if baked beans available. The baked beans I did get were awesome, and shame Charro beans subbed ruined the overall expirience

We Love J&J's! Best BBQ

Posted by mprice on 05/16/08

The Best BBQ I have ever eaten! I just love the pork ribs and the homemade potato salad. My boyfriend got "The Texan" their new 3/4 pound cheeseburger and he loved it. They have great shakes too! Blue Bell ice cream makes them really good. If you're up early try their breakfast tacos, they're big and made to order. Watching the cooks is fascinating. We sat on their new screened in patio. Very nice.
