Beloved Austin comic Lashonda Lester died April 6. Now, Cap City Comedy Club, her home away from home and the place where she was crowned The Funniest Person in Austin, is throwing a benefit for her family
“Shondee Superstar: A benefit for the family of Lashonda Lester” will take place June 28 at Cap City and is slated to include a silent auction and performances hosted by Matt Bearden.
The benefit kicks off at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30.
Reserved seating is $25. General admission is $20. At Cap City, reserved means the best available seats are reserved at time of purchase. The club starts front and center, and move back as the orders come in. General admission means first-come, first-served seating on the night of the show; sit anywhere that does not have a Reserved Seating card on the table.
