Esther’s Follies shows normally cost $25-$35, but Hurricane Harvey evacuees who have fled to Austin can watch the comedy show for free on Aug. 26.

“Our hope is that we can help the healing through doing what we do best, making people laugh,” Esther’s Follies said in a statement.

The 10 p.m. show Saturday will be free to any Harvey refugees who show their ID. Esther’s is making the offer to the following coastal communities: Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, Corpus Cristi, Calhoun County, Matagorda County, San Patricio County, Brazoria County, Refugio County, Jackson County, Nueces County, Matagorda County, Victoria County, Bolivar Peninsula and Gregory Portland.

Just earlier this week, we included Esther’s in our roundup of essential Austin places to take your visiting friends and family, so the free night is a deal not to miss. Here’s what we said about the longtime comedy show:

“The state of the world is somehow always made hilarious thanks to the funny folks at this longtime comedy show, which might be why weekends constantly sell out. Esther’s, which you could say is a bit like Austin’s version of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ has been cheering up its audience for more than 40 years with political satire, musical numbers, magic tricks and more.”
