You can only gift someone barbecue sauce so many times.

But what can you give those in your life whose devotion to Austin’s famed Franklin Barbecue is just as constant as the joint’s ‘round-the-block line?

Either a lot, a lot of Big Red, or, like Eater Austin suggests, a $175 blue porcelain tray that was designed to “immortalize the iconic Franklin Barbecue tray.”

It appears the porcelain version, much like its well-worn plastic counterpart, comes with imitation scratch marks.

Update: today's prize was claimed @joscoffee downtown! Check back tomorrow at 9am to see what the next location is. *Scavenger Hunt/Giveaway Alert* Tag your friends in this post to start playing…post a pic of yourself in the porcelain hat to claim the prize! Here's the clue— This stop downtown is a place to perk yourself up that you’ve probably stopped in on your way to work. You’ll want to get down there this second…between Colorado and Lavaca. The porcelain hat will be on display at 9am. Remember, first person to take a pic with the hat on will win today’s Porcelain Prize Package. ••• Up for grabs: @texasmonthly swag, @hiatusspa gift card for Essential Service, and a Ltd. Edition Keith Kreeger Franklin tray. ••• #PorcelainHunt #austin

The tray, which was designed by restaurant ceramicist Keith Kreeger, is available for purchase in Texas Monthly’s online shop

Keep in mind, Santas -- if you’re using the tray the right way, it’ll be covered in butcher paper and grease regardless.
