AA-S Best Bet: Although Austin-based artist Patrice Pike didn't make it all the way to the end of CBS' "Rock Star: Supernova" last year, her talent did grab the attention of the show's nationwide audience. Pike's rock 'n' roll talents have been common knowledge around this musical town for years. Austin audiences were first mesmerized by Pike in the mid-'90s when she was the lead rhythm guitarist and vocalist for the band Sister Seven. Pike has performed with Dave Matthews, Sarah McLachlan, Natalie Merchant and the Allman Brothers, among others. After going solo in 2001, Pike released several records including her latest mix of indie-rock, "Unraveling" in 2006. Pike was honored this year at the Austin Music Awards, winning musician of the year, song of the year, best rock band and best female vocalist. She was also inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame. Tonight's show at Antone's is her birthday party show.
