You might have already heard of “skeleton wrapped in angry meat” Tuck Buckford, aka Stephen Colbert’s new satirical take on Infowars broadcaster (and Austin resident) Alex Jones. You might not know that Tuck has his own Twitter account.
Colbert debuted the character on “The Late Show” last week, amid coverage of Jones’ Travis County child custody trial. The trial gained national attention after the American-Statesman reported that Jones’ attorneys planned to argue that the right-wing conspiracy theorist’s bombastic on-air persona is a character and not a reflection of Jones’ real-life behavior.

Colbert’s Buckford, meant to mimic the extreme statements and intense on-air temperament of Jones on Infowars, is prone to saying things like, “The liberals want to tattoo Obama logos onto the skin of Christian babies, OK?” The character’s Twitter account follows suit. See a few examples:
Colbert follows @TuckBuckford from his own Twitter account, @StephenAtHome. It’s probably safe to assume he has something to do with the character’s social media presence.
