Texas-born Dennis Quaid will soon portray America’s 43rd president in the second season of “American Crime Story,” according to Birth.Movies.Death.

“Katrina: American Crime Story” will be the second season of the anthology show started last year by Ryan Murphy. The first season focused on the O.J. Simpson trial. This season will focus on the administration during Hurricane Katrina.

Other stars signed on for the second season include Matthew Broderick, Annette Bening and Sarah Paulson. No word on who will play vice president Dick Cheney (or Kanye West, for that matter. Maybe they’ll just go with news footage for that one).

This isn’t the first time Quaid has played a Texan. He played Sam Houston in 2004’s “The Alamo.”

As of this writing, the first episode of “Katrina” is scheduled for 2018.
