Whether you buy into its legitimacy or not, seeing a fortune teller can be fun. Depending on your belief system, getting your tarot cards or palm read can provide either entertainment or insight into your past, present and future. Here’s a roundup of where in Austin you can find tarot readings, psychics, palm readings, fortune tellers and more.

Angeliska has been reading tarot cards for more than 20 years. She offers hour-long 15-card readings for $100 each, but she gives reading on a sliding scale if you need special accommodations.

Michelle offers to “invite you to the most compelling conversation with yourself you’ve ever had” through a half-hour ($55) or one-hour ($99) tarot reading, or a customized hour-long Reiki healing service for $99. You can also combine the services for 1.5-hour or 2-hour visits.

“The right question can change everything,” reads an image on Kristin’s website. She takes appointments for tarot readings and Reiki services, but she also appears often at local businesses like Irene’s, Garage, Ah Sing Den and more.

Ryka says her readings are a “conversation with the other side, whether that is connecting with your spirit guides or with loved ones who have passed.” And she can even do readings over the phone.

If you want something extra-traditional, Cantu’s offers herbal medicine, candles, religious statues, oils and soaps. The healing center offers energy healing, chakra balancing, aura cleansing and more.

Zoltar

Can’t go wrong with the classics. Relive Tom Hanks’ “Big” and check out Zoltar at G&S Lounge, Terra Toys or The Goodnight.

From oracle readings and Reiki to tarot, runes and “communicating beyond the veil,” each session is individually tailored.

Offering “comfort, intimacy and illumination,” Blue Star Temple describes itself as a “guiding light for those trying to navigate the turbulent waters of love, sex and relationships in the 21st century.” Epiphany Jordan offers tarot readings, but the temple also offers reading groups, various types of customized rituals and customized “sanctuary” sessions.

“Are you at a crossroads in your life and ready for a change?” the Pure Soul Alchemy website asks (who isn’t, am I right). Gabriella Espinosa offers “shamanic psychic surgery” in 175-minute ($155) and 60-minute ($125) sessions. She also hosts regular events.

Laurie Johnson offers readings from 15 minutes to a full hour and even offers phone readings. During a reading, she asks that clients come to her with something in mind that they want to know. On her website, Johnson writes that she gets “very clear visions as if I’m watching a movie of your life that has yet to happen.”
