Can you hear what The Rock is listening to?

It’s got a little bit of twang.

Apparently, the star of this week’s “The Fate of the Furious” is a big country music fan, as shown on his Instagram page Sunday afternoon.

Johnson, AKA The Rock, posted an iPhone screenshot of Texas country artist Cody Jinks’ song “Somewhere in the Middle” Sunday. In the caption, Johnson said he’s always been a “life long fan of traditional, hard core country” and that Jinks is one of his favorite artists.

“I tried, but I could never write music that good. I always a decent ear for rhythm and a good eye for lyrics though. Check this song out by one of my favs @CodyJinks. These lyrics spoke to me pretty quickly. And where the chorus goes tempo and rhythmically is pretty cool,” Johnson raved about the song.

Jinks’ latest album “I’m Not the Devil” was listed as one of our “Gone Country” blog’s best albums of 2016, and the Fort Worth native recently released a stripped-down cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You were Here.”

In his Instagram post, Johnson also listed Johnny Paycheck, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson and Chris Stapleton as some of his favorite artists. (Maybe this means he’ll stop by and see Stapleton in Austin this October at the Austin 360 Amphitheater. Who knows.)
