If you’ve driven South Congress Avenue at all in the past few months, you’ve seen the transformation of former dive Trophy’s into what looks like a spiffy new space, with plenty of red accents. It’s the home of Continenetal Club owner Steve Wertheimer’s new C-Boy’s Heart & Soul.
Dianne Scott, the longtime heart and soul of the Continental, posted this announcement about the new club’s soft opening on Saturday and Sunday and then big welcome party on New Year’s Eve:
Our new venue, C-BOY’S HEART & SOUL (2008 South Congress, formerly Trophy’s) will have a “soft” opening at 9pm on Saturday 12/28 and 9pm on Sunday 12/29. It will be closed on Monday 12/30 for last minute preparations for our opening party. The GRAND OPENING will be at 9pm on NEW YEAR’S EVE, 12/31/13!! There will be live music for New Year’s Eve - Snizz is rounding up some players as we speak.
I have created a Facebook page, but there’s not much of anything on it yet - give us a few days to get this “soul” train rollin’. Please come “like” us at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul !
