The band, which plays the 6:15 p.m. Friday slot both weekends of the festival, said at a show in Charlotte, N.C. Monday night that after the deadly shootings in Las Vegas overnight, “it felt wrong” to play the song, which is about a school shooting. According to SPIN, the band covered John Lennon’s “Love” instead.

The band did not say whether its decision to skip the song would continue into future shows, including two sets at ACL Fest and an ACL late-night show at Stubb’s on Oct. 12.
