Gunn tweeted his response Tuesday after news broke that a 37-year-old Austin man was suing his date for $17.31 (the cost of the movie ticket) after she reportedly continued to text throughout the movie.

The story quickly drew a nationwide buzz.

The woman was unaware of the charge against her when the American-Statesman initially reached out to her, saying, “Oh my god. This is crazy.”

No word yet on where Groot stands on the matter.
