Game-themed restaurant Punch Bowl Social opens August 23 at the Domain with a grand opening party that will benefit Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. The restaurant serves upscale diner food and says it intends to source locally and offer “a more healthful, nutritious approach to comfort food.” The entertainment at the 21,000 square-foot dining-drinking-and-gaming complex centers on bowling, Ping-Pong, 1980s arcade games, billiards, darts, board games, and more. Punch Bowl Social will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night daily ountil 2 a.m.
Tickets for the opening night event are $10 and can be purchased at the door or in advance on Facebook. PBS is located at 11310 Domain Dr., next to Gloria’s restaurant and across the street from theWestin Hotel.
Punch Bowl Social has locations in Portland and Denver. The company’s CEO and founder, Robert Thompson, lived in Austin for several years and opened Buffalo Billiards in 1998. He moved to Denver in 2000 and sold the Sixth Street bar in 2003.
