Exhibit to honor retiring UT art faculty

Gallery Shoal Creek teams up with the University of Texas’ Department of Art and Art History to present a group exhibition celebrating the artwork of eight art faculty members who will be retiring in 2013: Thelma Coles, Tom Druecker, Mark Goodman, Ken Hale, Don Herron, Lawrence McFarland, Bradley Petersen and Susan Whyne.

Painters, photographers, printmakers, metal and ceramic artists — the eight have had a major influence on several decades of students.

In conjunction with the exhibit, a full color catalogue will be available.

Opening reception: 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 23

Exhibit continues through Sept. 14

Gallery hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays
