AA-S Best Bet - AC/DC:
When people say their band sounds like AC/DC, it just isn't true. Oh, they might think they sound like this crew of Australians' patented hard rock, but they don't. Very little sounds quite like AC/DC. The chunky riffs, the drumming's beyond-basic feel, Brian Johnson's ancient tomcat screech pretty much embody the idea of deceptive simplicity. Like the Ramones and Motörhead, the band struck upon a perfect song and just kind of kept playing it again and again. And like the Ramones and Motörhead, you can tell an AC/DC song about three seconds into it. This is, of course, where bands fail in their quests to become yet more AC/DC-like: They attempt to add to AC/DC, to combine it with something else. This is a mistake - you cannot improve upon rock perfection.
— Joe Gross

From the promoter:
AC/DC's highly successful Black Ice World Tour returns to the U.S. on July 28 in Foxborough, MA at Gillette Stadium and will make a stop at the Frank Erwin Center on November 6! AC/DC kicked off their Black Ice World Tour in late October 2008, crisscrossing North America and Europe garnering raves from critics along the way. The Black Ice World Tour was given the ‘Major Tour of the Year' award at the 20th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. The Austin date is produced by Live Nation.
Released globally on October 20, 2008, Black Ice has been certified Double Platinum in the U.S. Black Ice is AC/DC's first new album in over eight years and its evident the band is still an incredible force in rock.
