Happy New Year!
So we’re going to try this one more time.
This is a blog about comics, a topic not otherwise covered in the Statesman.
Austin comic creators, stores, publishers and hangers-on are invited to send me tips about Austin (and, OK, Texas) comics news, events, etc.
Send these tips and press releases to jgross@statesman.com.
Please put the word “COMICS” in the subject header. It makes life a lot easier if your email gets caught in the American-Statesman’s spam filter, which sucks up email like a blue whale feasting on krill.
The blog will also feature news and commentary on titles that catch my eye.
I will post on this blog as often as humanly possible. Which means sometimes more than once day, but no less than once every 48 hours.
For the moment, let’s launch with the Rumor Awards over at Comic Book Resources and my best of 2007 list over at the website for Decibel magazine, for which I contribute a column about comics.
