Neat stuff that comes out tomorrow
“100 Bullets Vol. 11: Once Upon a Crime” (DC, $12.99) — Another trade paperback collection of the best crime comic of all time. Seriously. Writer Brian Azzarello hasa soul of pure noir and artist Eduardo Risso might be the best storyteller since Will Eisner.
“Casanova #8” (Image, $1.99) — A new issue of this 16-page-per-issue tribute to Jerry Cornelius. I like the format as much as anyone, but it really should come out every month, you know? Sixteen pages, guys. Come on.
“Black Metal, Vol. 1” (Oni, $11.95) — Completely fantastic American manga about two kids who listen to a whole lot of Xasthur and Immortal. And Frost Axe. Can’t forget Frost Axe. Along with last year’s “Phonogram,” one of the best comics about music I’ve ever read.
