Congratulations to Austinite Matthew Sturges for being among this year’s Eisner Award nominees for his writing on the excellent Vertigo title “Jack of Fables,” which has been nominated for Best New Series. The title, written with (former Austinite) Bill Willingham, is a spin-opff from Willingham’s “Fables,” one of the best new titles of the past few years.
