Word has it that the world’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll band is coming to the world’s live music capital. Look for an announcement next week that the Stones will play Austin’s Zilker Park on Sunday, Oct. 22.
It’s about time they came back to their roots! I agree, this band is amazing every time I’ve seen them in concert. There must be a way we can pass the rock legends down to younger generations. The band has to be known for more than just their music, but their history as well. THAT’S what makes people fall in love with bands. And I’ve only seen one site that’s doing a good job of promoting their history, and it’s an odd way of doing it too:

This site has an audiobook made just about Rolling Stones. Being a die-hard fan from the beginning, I thought it was pretty interesting. You guys should check it out! =)
I’m looking forward to the Stones in Austin. It’s a perfect fit for the “live music capital of the world” to host the greatest rock and roll band ever. I’ve seen them almost 20 times since 1981, and I’ve never been disappointed. In fact, the shows are as good now as they were 25 years ago. I’ll be in El Paso on the 20th for the show too.
The Los Lonely Boys had to cancel their opening for the Stones in Houston last December. Hopefully, they’ll get another chance this time around, either in Austin or El Paso.
I would like to send yo a press kit for the Power of The Cross Festival that will take place the dat before the Stones come on Oct 21st. Two big time first in Austin and as opposite as the story of David vs Golaith. What is your e-mail address that I can send attachments to?
