Fox 7’s Jenni Lee finds true love on the job

You never know where the love bug will strike.

For Fox 7 news anchor Jenni Lee, it happened while on the job back in 2002.

She’d been assigned a story on the Austin Police Department’s “Click It or Ticket” seatbelt crackdown, and wasn’t very enthused about it.

That quickly changed, though, when she arrived for her interview with one of Austin’s finest.

“I went out there, and it was this hot cop,” Lee said. “He had the most piercing eyes, and was very intelligent.”

Jenni, meet Jamie.

Lee was smitten, but her man in blue didn’t appear interested. At all.

“He wasn’t having it,” she said.

Fast forward three weeks and, suddenly, Lee got the call she thought she’d never get. The two met up and eventually started dating. They tied the knot in 2005, and now have a 2-year-old son, Silas.

“You never know who you’ll meet out there,” Lee said. “I wasn’t looking. Neither was he.

“Click It or Ticket has a completely different meaning in my heart now.”

I agree! Lighten up! This is a sweet story, something not seen very often. There was no blood, no guts, no scandal, just a sweet story about two people who found what everyone wants! Congrats to Jenny and Jamie.... and Silas!

Doesn't matter what any of us as individuals want when the media can't find anything worthy to write about.
